Sliding mesh racks: which type fits your store?
“Sliding mesh rack” covers three different Rackstor mechanisms. The right one is decided by ceiling height, aisle space and floor condition — this page compares them side by side.
Pull-out (goal post)
Panels pull straight out towards you along overhead tracks.
Needs aisle depth in front of the rack and clear ceiling height for the goal-post frame.
Side-sliding
Panels glide laterally in front of one another; nothing projects into the room.
Suits low ceilings, overhead services and rooms with no space for a pull-out aisle.
Mobile (tracked bases)
Whole rack bays travel on floor tracks to open a single moving aisle.
Highest capacity per square metre; requires a level floor and a track installation.
Common to all three
Every Rackstor mesh rack is fabricated from powder-coated steel that is inert and non-off-gassing, sized to your largest framed work, and commissioned on site with alignment, glide testing and end-stop fitment. Static perimeter storage is usually added alongside — see wall-mounted picture racking.
